Research, Measurements & Learning
Supporting Intervention Effectiveness
Over the years, Vision Quest has supported development partners to advance the evidence base necessary for improved decision-making in complex and rapidly evolving contexts. Our team of global researchers develop and executes cutting edge research to provide insights that shape programs and influence public policy.
In our evaluation practice, have moved beyond the traditional monitoring and evaluation and instead support our partners to “measure” and “learn”. In order to track and report on progress and promote accountability and learning, we benchmark partners tasks against global, regional, national and local standards.
At Vision Quest, we support our partners in collaborative learning program level roadmap to prioritize learning and adaptation themes that align with their program’s objectives. We have led collaborative learning inspired by community/government needs, donor aspirations and implementing partners mandates. We facilitated pause and reflect sessions and peer-learning experiences to generate learning briefs on various program themes.
Third-Party Monitoring
Supporting Factual Assurance
We support partners working in locations considered inaccessible to monitor program implementation, monitor progress, provide periodic program reports and advise on modifications to increase impact. Our focus is on strengthening systems and building institutional capacity, including improving policies around data management, staff skills, and technological capability.
Over the years, Vision Quest has been implementing in three cross-border clusters that span across several countries, namely Mandera (Kenya and Somalia), Moyale (Kenya and Ethiopia), and Karamoja (Uganda and South Sudan).

At Vision Quest, we recognize that sustainable development, whether at the community or national level, relies on strong institutions capable of driving innovation and implementing lasting solutions. Our approach to organizational development is structured and comprehensive, beginning with an analysis of the institutional environment and current organizational capacity using tools like OCAT, SWOT, and PESTLE. We design, implement, and evaluate solutions tailored to improve organizational effectiveness. Vision Quest has successfully partnered with government departments, UN agencies, and NGOs to deliver impactful organizational development solutions.
